NSCDC Jigawa State Commandant Receives Newly Elected PDP Executives in Courtesy Visit

The Jigawa State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, received the newly elected executives of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Jigawa State Chapter, in a courtesy visit held at the State Command Headquarters in Dutse.

Led by the State PDP Chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Babandi, the delegation congratulated Commandant Bodinga on his leadership and applauded the NSCDC’s dedication to maintaining peace and order across the state.

The visit was aimed at strengthening the relationship between political stakeholders and security agencies for the collective promotion of peace and democracy.
In his remarks, Alhaji Babandi emphasized the need for synergy between political parties and security operatives, especially as the state prepares for future electoral activities. He assured the Commandant of the party’s commitment to peaceful political engagement and respect for law and order.

Responding, Commandant Bodinga welcomed the party executives and appreciated their gesture.

He reiterated the NSCDC’s neutrality, professionalism, and readiness to work with all political actors in the interest of peace, security, and democratic development.

“The NSCDC remains non-partisan and committed to its constitutional duties. We are always open to dialogue and cooperation that promotes peace, stability, and national unity,” Commandant Bodinga stated.

The visit concluded with a mutual call for peaceful coexistence, political tolerance, and continued collaboration between political stakeholders and security agencies in Jigawa State.
