NSCDC Jigawa State Commandant Pays Courtesy Visit to Honorable Speaker, Jigawa State House of Assembly

The Jigawa State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, today paid a courtesy visit to the Honorable Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Honorable Haruna Aliyu Dangyatum, at the Assembly Complex in Dutse.

During the visit, Commandant Bodinga reaffirmed the NSCDC’s commitment to enhancing collaboration with the legislative arm in the ongoing efforts to maintain peace, protect critical national assets, and ensure internal security across the state. He also expressed gratitude to the Speaker and members of the House for their continuous support to the NSCDC and other security agencies.

“The NSCDC remains steadfast in its mandate to safeguard lives, property, and public infrastructure. We are here today to further strengthen our partnership and seek continued legislative support for initiatives aimed at improving community-based security,” said Commandant Bodinga.
In his response, the Honorable Speaker welcomed the Commandant and commended the NSCDC for its professional conduct and increasing presence in rural communities. He assured the Commandant of the House’s readiness to support policies and legislation that will enhance the effectiveness of the Corps.

“This visit is a welcome development. We recognize the critical role the NSCDC plays in ensuring the safety of our people. Be assured that the House of Assembly is committed to supporting your operations through enabling policies and constructive engagement,” the Speaker stated.

The visit concluded with a brief closed-door meeting, where both parties discussed potential areas of strategic collaboration in security management and grassroots sensitization.
