The PRO explained that the principal suspect, Ahmad Obodo, a 39-year-old professional printer from Kwale local government area of Delta State has been under the watchful eyes of NSCDC operatives since 2024.

” After months of intelligence gathering, surveillance, and tracking, Obodo was arrested for misleading unsuspecting motorists and diverting state revenue for personal gain, ” he revealed..

According to him, further investigations led to the arrest of Umar Aliyu Babangida, who was also paraded and is currently in NSCDC custody undergoing interrogation.

The command also disclosed that the third suspect at large connected to the crime, known as Noma, resides in the Kontagora area of the state just as efforts are on to track him down.

He said the NSCDC in the state, under the leadership of Commandant Abdullahi Adamu Kambra, remained committed to ensuring law and order, protecting public resources, and curbing criminal activities that threaten the state’s economic stability.
