Kaduna NSCDC Commandant Participates in NDA 24th Convocation Lecture on National Security

The Kaduna State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Panam Musa Buba, on Wednesday attended the 24th Convocation Lecture of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Afaka, Kaduna, themed “Civil-Military Relations in Nigeria: Governance and National Security.” The event was organised in honour of graduating cadets of the 73 Regular Course and postgraduate students of the academy.
Commandant Buba was represented at the lecture by the Deputy Commandant of Corps, Abdullahi Karfi Umar.
The high-profile gathering attracted senior military officers, security chiefs, government officials, academics and other distinguished personalities who examined the critical role of effective civil-military relations in fostering good governance, national cohesion and sustainable security across the country.
Participants highlighted the need for stronger cooperation between civil institutions and security agencies, noting that robust civil-military relations are indispensable to addressing contemporary security threats, promoting peace and supporting national development.
The lecture also provided a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas on enhancing mutual trust, accountability and collaboration in the collective effort to strengthen Nigeria’s security architecture.
The Kaduna State Command of the NSCDC reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining productive partnerships with sister security agencies and relevant stakeholders in the discharge of its statutory responsibilities. The Command remains dedicated to the protection of lives and property, safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructure, and contributing meaningfully to the peace, stability and security of the nation.
