The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Musa, has reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ commitment to working with international partners for peace and stability. He gave the assurance while hosting Mrs. Ogechi Daniels, Deputy DG of Operations at the International Organisation for Migration (IOM), in Abuja.

The talks focused on peacebuilding, migration management and countering violent extremism. Both sides agreed on the need for stronger civil-military cooperation, sustained dialogue and joint approaches to tackle insecurity and displacement challenges across Nigeria.

Mrs. Daniels praised Nigeria’s Operation Safe Corridor as a model for rehabilitation and reintegration, noting its expansion to the North West and North Central. She pledged IOM’s technical support in DDRR, border management and disaster response, reaffirming readiness to deepen collaboration with Nigeria
