The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Gombe State Command, Commandant Gyama Gyawiya, has convened a Critical Assets and Infrastructure stakeholders meeting with key private and public agencies. The meeting, held at the State Command Headquarters in Gombe, aimed to review the current security situation in the state and the level of security risks to critical infrastructures.
Represented by Deputy Commandant of Corps DCC Olajide Tijjani, Commandant Gyama emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Command and stakeholders in maintaining safety and protection of both private and public infrastructure in Gombe State. He reminded the stakeholders that protecting critical assets and infrastructure is a cardinal objective of the NSCDC.
The meeting drew participation from notable organizations, including Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JED), NPSC Gombe Terminal , Nigerian Upstream, Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, Mnes and Steel, Independent Petroleum Marketers Association (IPMAN), Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Scrap Dealers Association, INEC, Gombe Association of Hotel proprietors and others.
The stakeholders meeting underscores the NSCDC’s commitment to safeguarding critical infrastructure and promoting a secure environment for businesses and communities to thrive. By fostering collaboration and information sharing, the NSCDC Gombe State Command aims to strengthen its response to security challenges and ensure the protection of Critical Assets.
