1,733 NSCDC Officers Sit for CDCFIB 2025 Batch ‘B’ Promotion Examinations Across 13 Zones

In continuation of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ promotion exercise, a total of 1,733 officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) participated in the promotion examinations held yesterday across the country. The examination, which marks the final phase of the promotion process, was conducted under the supervision of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).

The exercise took place simultaneously across all 13 zonal commands of the NSCDC, ensuring wide national coverage and equal opportunity for all eligible officers. The promotion exams are a key component of the Corps’ commitment to merit-based career progression, professionalism, and capacity building within its ranks.

The promotion process is designed to assess officers’ knowledge, competence, and readiness for higher responsibilities, in line with the operational standards and evolving security demands across the country. The CDCFIB, in collaboration with the NSCDC leadership, ensured the exercise was conducted under strict supervision, transparency, and compliance with established protocols.

Officials of the Board and designated monitors were deployed to various zones to oversee the smooth conduct of the examinations, ensuring fairness and accountability throughout the process.

The successful completion of the exam phase sets the stage for further evaluation and approval of promotions, which are expected to strengthen leadership, morale, and operational effectiveness within the Corps.
