Top security heads in Imo State have carried out a joint visit to personnel deployed in special operations at strategic locations across the state, in a bid to encourage them and reinforce the fight against insecurity.
Police spokesperson DSP Henry Okoye disclosed that the State Commissioner of Police, Aboki Danjuma, led the delegation alongside military commanders during the tour of Okigwe and other critical flashpoints.
Among those present were Brigadier General I. M. Abass, Commander of the 34 Artillery Brigade Obinze; Air Commodore D. E. Bello, Commander of the Nigerian Air Force 211 Quick Response Group; and the Commander of the Oguta Naval Base.
They joined the CP in applauding the operatives for their resilience, professionalism, and discipline in confronting security threats in the Okigwe axis, stressing that their sacrifices remain key to restoring peace in the state.
In separate remarks, the security chiefs pledged continued military support for the joint operations, urging the officers to stay vigilant, adhere strictly to operational rules, and remain focused until the objectives are achieved.
Commissioner Danjuma further assured Imo residents that the police, working in synergy with sister agencies, are determined to stamp out criminal activities.
