ELECTIONS: COMMANDANT AHMAD DEPLOYS 2106 PERSONNEL AHEAD OF 15TH FEBRUARY LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS

In his commitments to maintain law and order before, during and after the 15th February , 2025 local government elections, the State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps,(NSCDC) Katsina State Command, Commandant of Corps Aminu Datti Ahmad deployed 2106 personnel for the maintenance of peace and protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructures across the State.

Commandant Ahmad made this known while issuing the Operational Order on Monday 10th February , 2025 at the State Command Headquarters Katsina, Katsina State.In a brief meeting with the Senior Management team, Ahmad emphasized the commitments of the Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, OFR to safety, Security and protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructures in the country.He also pointed on the reviewed strategies to include intensive surveillance, gathering credible intelligence, community engagement, collaboration and due diligence among others.

The State Commandant tasked the relevant Heads of Departments and Units,Area Commanders, Divisional Officers,Unit Commanders, and Special Forces to ensure well coordination and proper patrolling to provide watertight Security in the State.

The State NSCDC Boss further charged personnel for professionalism, commitments and dedication to duty.
“Personnel deployed are to conduct themselves professionally and synergize with other security agencies to ensure hitch free elections” the Comdnt. stated

The Commandant also emphasized for intensive surveillance and ensuring adequate protection of facilities belonging to Federal State and Local Governments.Adequate Under Cover Operatives were also deployed and placed in very sensitive locations to provide timely and actionable intelligence that will help to contain all the activities of criminals in the State.
Ahmad enjoined the general public to be more vigilant and report any suspicions movements of persons or items to the nearest office.

The Commandant also called on the good people of Katsina State to be law abiding and wished for a hitch free elections
