
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Kano State Command has had a new State Commandant. He is Commandant Shafi’u Abdulmumini , an indigene of Katsina State from Dayi, Malumfashi local government.
In a brief ceremony today Friday 14th February,2025 witnessed by the Command management staff and representative of NSCDC’s Zone 12 Zonal Commander, the Command’s mantle of leadership was formally handed over to him by the outgoing state Commandant, Comdt Mohammed Lawal Falala, fcna.
In a remark while handing over, the outgoing state Commandant thanked God Almighty for allowing him to see through a successful stay as state Commandant of the Corps Kano command, implored officers and men of the command to give the newly deployed state Commandant maximum cooperation in order to move the Corps forward in the state.
In his address shortly after assuming office, the newly posted state Commandant, Comdt Shafi’u Abdulmumini solicited for more support and cooperation of management and personnel of the command, as an impetus for achieving greater success moving forward.
According to the incoming state Commandant, Kano is a second home to him, therefore the Corps under his new leadership in the state will vigorously pursue policies of ensuring protection of critical national assets and infrastructure as well as securing lives and property of the good people of Kano.
