The delegation was led by Prof. Amos Paul Bassey, Head of the Department of Community Medicine and Deputy Provost, who supervised the students throughout the hands-on learning experience designed to strengthen their emergency preparedness and safety awareness.

During the training, officers of the Federal Fire Service exposed the students to modern firefighting equipment, rescue techniques, and basic fire risk assessment procedures. The interactive demonstrations allowed the students to understand real-life emergency scenarios and the appropriate actions required to manage them effectively.
The visit also reinforced the importance of collaboration between educational institutions and emergency response agencies in promoting public safety.
