Kwara Governor Convenes Security Council Over Kidnapping Threats

Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, on Friday, November 21, 2025, presided over a crucial Security Council Meeting in Ilorin to assess the state’s security landscape following recent kidnapping threats.

During the meeting, heads of various security agencies briefed the Governor on newly deployed tactical strategies, recent arrests, and intensified operations across vulnerable communities.

The council reviewed ongoing efforts and stressed the importance of stronger collaboration among all security formations. Members also highlighted the need for a proactive approach to curb emerging criminal activities.

At the end of the session, the council approved enhanced joint patrols ahead of the festive season and reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding lives and property across Kwara State. It further directed coordinated measures to protect communities and prevent any security breaches.
