The State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kano State Command, Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, has paid a courtesy visit to the Controller of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Kano Command, Controller Ado Inuwa, as part of efforts to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and promote effective service delivery.
During the visit, which took place at the Correctional Service Headquarters in Kano, Commandant Bodinga commended the Controller and his management team for their unwavering dedication to inmate rehabilitation, discipline, and correctional reforms across custodial centres in the state.
He noted that both the NSCDC and the Correctional Service share similar responsibilities in maintaining law and order, emphasizing the importance of continued synergy, intelligence sharing, and joint operations in addressing emerging security challenges.
“Our collaboration is crucial in achieving national security objectives. We must continue to work together, share intelligence, and support one another to ensure peace, stability, and the safety of our communities,” Commandant Bodinga stated.
In his response, the Controller of Correctional Service, Mr. Ado Inuwa, appreciated Commandant Bodinga for the visit and reaffirmed his commitment to deepening the existing partnership between the two agencies. “The NCoS and NSCDC are partners in nation-building, and together, we can ensure safer custodial environments and stronger community protection,” he said.
The visit provided both agencies an opportunity to discuss areas of mutual cooperation, particularly in intelligence exchange, personnel training, and joint security operations aimed at strengthening internal security in Kano State.
Commandant Bodinga was accompanied by members of his management team, while senior officers of the Correctional Service joined the Controller in receiving the NSCDC delegation.
The visit also featured the presentation of a souvenir by Commandant Bodinga to the Controller of Correctional Service as a symbol of goodwill and continued partnership between both institutions.
Commandant Bodinga reaffirmed the NSCDC’s commitment to sustaining collaboration with other security agencies, stressing that unity of purpose
