The Kano State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, has charged officers and men of the Corps to embrace the virtues of patience, perseverance, dedication, and resilience in carrying out their duties.
Speaking during a muster parade at the Command Headquarters, Commandant Bodinga emphasized the importance of discipline and professionalism. He directed all personnel to strictly adhere to the Corps’ dress code, maintaining a neat, tidy, and gallant appearance at all times. He further stressed the need to keep the command environment clean and orderly.
The Commandant warned against absenteeism, laxity, and nonchalant attitudes to work, noting that his leadership would not condone such behavior. “Officers and men must always be prepared to respond promptly whenever duty calls. The right thing must be done at all times,” he declared.
He also cautioned personnel to avoid any conduct capable of disturbing their peace of mind or tarnishing the image of the Corps.
In a related development, Commandant Bodinga joined other stakeholders at a meeting convened by the Kano State Commissioner for Internal Security and Special Services, AVM Ibrahim Umar (rtd). The meeting focused on addressing emerging security threats linked to solid mineral mining activities in some parts of the state.
