The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Sokoto State Command, under the leadership of Commandant EA Ajayi, has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the long-standing partnership with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
In a courtesy visit to the Sokoto Sector Commander of FRSC, CC AU Argungu, on Friday, 26th September 2025, at about 15:00 hours, Commandant Ajayi expressed gratitude for the warm reception accorded to him and his team.
During the visit, both agencies held strategic discussions focused on enhancing synergy and cooperation, especially in addressing road traffic accidents and related offences. Issues such as route violations, driving without valid licences or plate numbers, and reckless driving were extensively discussed as threats to the safety of lives and property.
Commandant Ajayi emphasized the need for proactive measures, stressing the importance of coordination, collaboration, and cooperation between the two agencies in protecting commuters and pedestrians across Sokoto State.
In his response, Sector Commander Argungu reaffirmed the strong bond between NSCDC and FRSC and pledged continued collaboration in ensuring road safety and the protection of lives and property.
Commandant Ajayi further urged a unified approach to eradicating road traffic incidents through proactive and preventive actions.
