NSCDC Commandant Visits Kogi Police Headquarters, Seeks Stronger Security Collaboration

The Kogi State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Aletan Olumide Ebenezer, has paid a courtesy visit to the Kogi State Police Command Headquarters in Lokoja, where he met with the State Commissioner of Police, Miller G. Dantawaye.

During the visit, Ebenezer called for sustained partnership and synergy between the two agencies in tackling criminal activities and ensuring public safety. He noted that criminals were becoming more sophisticated in their operations, stressing the need for joint action, intelligence sharing and operational cooperation among security agencies.

The NSCDC boss explained that both agencies share constitutional responsibilities in maintaining internal peace and protecting citizens, adding that the safety of lives and property in Kogi State depends on effective interagency collaboration.

Responding, CP Dantawaye commended the NSCDC Commandant for the visit, describing it as timely and strategic. He assured that the Police Command would continue to strengthen its relationship with the Corps, stressing that the timely exchange of intelligence is crucial in preventing crime.

The meeting also explored areas of cooperation, including joint patrols, training of personnel, and enhanced protection of critical infrastructure across the state.

Both agencies pledged to deepen their partnership under the federal government’s interagency framework, assuring residents that the collaboration would translate into practical results in the fight against crime.
