Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Monday chaired an extended security council meeting to assess ongoing operations aimed at strengthening public safety across the state.
The meeting was attended by commanders of all security formations, including the Police, Department of State Services (DSS), Nigerian Army, Navy, Air Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Immigration Service, and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). Officials from the Office of the National Security Adviser were also present.
Key government officials including the Secretary to the State Government, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Special Adviser on Security, and Senior Special Assistant on Security also contributed to the deliberations.
Security chiefs briefed the Governor on recent developments, including clearance operations, arrests of suspects, arms interceptions, and ongoing prosecutions targeting non-state actors.
Governor AbdulRazaq commended the operatives for their professionalism and sacrifice, pledging continued government support for their efforts.
He also encouraged citizens to remain vigilant and actively support security agencies by providing credible, timely intelligence to help sustain peace and order across the state.
