COMMANDANT SULEIMAN TOURS DELTA STATE NYSC ORIENTATION CAMP

Following the commencement of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Orientation Course, 2024 Batch “B” Stream-1 on Wednesday, June 26, 2024; the Delta State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Suleiman Jimoh, on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, went on a working visit to the Camp at Issele-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The Commandant who was warmly received by the NYSC State Coordinator, MR Alao Olusegun Olaosebikan, assured the coordinator, staff & corps members of watertight security, following the deployment of both armed/conventional personnel in compliance with the Commandant General’s Vision in Protection of Schools and Orientation Camps throughout the Federation.

The visit, was to enhance and strengthen the existing security arrangements of the Camp with a view to ensuring the safety of all the Corps members and management staff of the NYSC in the Camp.

Mr Alao in his statement, commended all Security agencies, NSCDC in particular for their doggedness, dedication and professionalism in discharging their duties; in response the Commandant assured the corps members through the coordinator of the NSCDC commitment to safeguarding their lives both in the camp and at their various primary areas of responsibility.

He further enjoined them to be security conscious of themselves and report suspicious movements to the NSCDC and other security agencies for prompt action in compliance to the slogan “See Something, Say Something.”

In wrapping up the visit, the coordinator took the Commandant on a Camp-Round where he lauds the government for providing a vast landscape for the camp.
