EID-EL-KABIR: COMMANDANT BAKSHAR DEPLOYS 700 PERSONNEL TO BEEF UP SECURITY IN AKWA IBOM

FELICITATES WITH MUSLIM FAITHFULS, PREACHES SACRIFICE AND LOVE

To ensure that the EID-EL-KABIR festivities is celebrated peacefully by Muslim ummahs across the length and breath of Akwa Ibom State, the State Commandant of NSCDC, Commandant Bashar Kefas Hussaini has directed the immediate deployment of 700 personnel of the Corps to work with sister security agencies to beef up security and tackle challenges that may be posed by unfriendly forces before, during and after the Eid -el -kabir celebration.

Commandant Bashar gave the directive on Wednesday, 4th June 2025 while addressing tactical commanders, Area Commanders and Divisional Officers at the State Command headquarters in Uyo.

He further gave specific directives to the Heads of Operation and Critical National Assets Protection to work together to coordinate the deployment across the 31 LGAs in the state especially to places of interest like: mosques, Eid praying grounds, recreational centers and other flashpoints in the state.

“HOD Ops, HOD CNAI both of you are to coordinate this assignment. HOD Ops should ensure that field Commanders increase their patrol around identified flashpoints and supervise deployment by Divisional Officers. HOD CNAI should ensure that critical infrastructures remain safe and vandalism is kept at bay”

He enjoined the good people of Akwa Ibom State to cooperate with security agencies and go about their lawful engagements without fear, while reporting suspicious activities promptly for timely intervention.

The NSCDC boss felicitated with Muslim Ummahs in Akwa Ibom State and across the world and called for the imbibement of sacrifice and love for one another and our country as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim which is today commemorated as Eid ul- Adha. He wished everyone Eid Mubarak.
