After operating for over two decades without a standard facility, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ilorin West Division, has finally secured a permanent site, following the generous land donation by the Adewole Progressive Union.
In support of this development, the Executive Chairman of Ilorin West Local Government, Hon. Abdul Rahaman Babatunde Ladan, immediately commenced the construction of a modern office facility on the site, pledging its prompt and high-quality completion. He also donated a patrol vehicle and a motorcycle to enhance the division’s mobility and response capacity.
The Kwara State Commandant, Dr. Umar J.G. Mohammed, expressed deep appreciation to both the Chairman and the Adewole Progressive Union for their invaluable contributions. He assured the public of the corp’s unwavering commitment to addressing emerging security challenges across the state.
The realization of this project is attributed to the dedication and leadership of the Ilorin West Divisional Officer CSC Amzat Mohammed, whose long standing vision was to provide the division with a befitting and functional headquarters. Since its establishment 22 years ago, the division had operated without a permanent or befitting office, a situation that limited its effectiveness and public visibility.
