In a continuation of  training activities lined up for students, the Nigerian Army Intelligence School (NAIS) organized a training visit to the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Lagos. The visit was  aimed to provide students with hands-on experience in forensic science and crime scene investigation, utilizing advanced tools like the Automated Fingerprint Identification System.

Led by the Commandant of NAIS Brigadier General Kingsley  Nwoko, the students from various intelligence courses were warmly received by Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Benedict Agbo and Assistant Inspector General Romokere Godgift Ibani.

During the visit, the students explored different sections of the FCID facility, including the Fingerprint Section, DNA laboratory, and Forensic Ballistic section. The collaboration between the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Police Force highlighted the importance of intelligence in criminal investigations and the practical application of forensic tools.

Brigadier General Nwoko expressed gratitude for the warm reception and emphasized the visit’s role in strengthening the relationship between the two security agencies while AIG Ibani commended the efforts of the NAIS in fostering partnerships through innovative activities like the training visit. The interactive session, exchange of souvenirs, and group photographs captured the spirit of cooperation and shared commitment to enhancing security measures in Nigeria.

This training visit not only provided valuable insights to the students but also underscored the significance of inter-agency collaboration in combating crime effectively. The successful and productive visit concluded on a positive note, setting a promising precedent for future joint initiatives between the Nigerian Army and the Nigerian Police Force.
