The Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, has approved the deployment of Commandant Toma Mathew Enya as the new Commandant of the Osun State Command.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday in Osogbo by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Kehinde Adeleke.
According to the statement, Enya, who was redeployed from the Ekiti State Command, officially assumed office on Monday, succeeding Commandant Igbalawole Sotiyo.
Following the formal handover ceremony at the NSCDC State Headquarters, Sotiyo accompanied the new Commandant on a courtesy visit to the Osun State Government House in Abere.
The newly deployed Commandant was received on behalf of Governor Ademola Adeleke by the Deputy Governor, Prince Kola Adewusi.
Speaking during the visit, Enya pledged to strengthen intelligence gathering and information sharing as part of efforts to enhance security operations across the state.
He also assured residents that the command would remain steadfast in its mandate of protecting lives and property, while collaborating with other security agencies and stakeholders to sustain peace and security in Osun State.
