CIC PRAISES CONTRIBUTION OF POSTED OUT OFFICERS…. Wishes them well in their next assignments

The Commander Infantry Corps (CIC) Major General Abdul Khalifah Ibrahim OFR has acknowledged the contributions of the recently posted out senior officers from the Headquarters Infantry Corps Centre (HQ ICC), wishing them well in their next assignments. The CIC made the commendation today Friday 31 January 2025 during the send forth ceremony organized for the six posted out senior officers held at the Conference Room of HQ ICC.

The posted out senior officers are Brig Gen HM Bello who was the immediate past Chief of Staff (COS) HQ ICC, Brig Gen AS Bugaje, the outgone Director, Special Forces and Col OU Lawal, the outgone Deputy Chief of Staff, Administration. Others are Lt Col YU Andrew, Lt Col MM Garba and Lt Col A Audu who were Assistant Director, Finance, Commanding Officer ICC Records Office and Staff Officer Grade 1 Training respectively.

The redeployed senior officers are posted as Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and Garrison Commander among others.

Major General Ibrahim in his remarks further praised and appreciated the redeployed officers, whom he described as hardworking, competent and professional.

He thanked them for their significant contributions to the Corps Headquarters, urging them to do even better in their next assignments by justifying the confidence reposed on them by the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lieutenant General Olufemi Olatunbosun Oluyede NAM.

The CIC encouraged Infantry Officers to look forward to serving in Jaji either in the Corps Headquarters, Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI) or other Infantry units in Jaji Military Cantonment, emphasizing that Jaji is the home of the Infantry. He promised a paradigm shift in the Infantry to make it mission oriented, more cohesive and efficient.

Major General Ibrahim further tasked all Infantry officers, soldiers and units to distinguish themselves wherever they may be deployed by being professional and taking the fight to the enemy enclaves.

Some senior officers who spoke during the send forth ceremony appreciated the posted out senior officers for their positive contributions to the Corps Headquarters and Infantry at large, saying the posted out senior officers would be greatly missed.

In a vote of thanks delivered by the outgone COS, Brigadier General HM Bello , he thanked God for a day like this and appreciated the COAS for the confidence reposed on them by posting them to key positions.

The outgone COS added that the posted out officers would work hard and make the COAS proud. He pledged their loyalty to the Corps and the NA, vowing to always identify with the Corps. The new COS of the HQ ICC, Brig Gen KU Sidi and other senior officers graced the event.

Highlights of the occasion were the presentation of plaques to the posted out senior officers by the CIC and taking of the group photograph to end the ceremony.
