COMMANDANT AMINU AHMAD RECEIVES ROYAL BLESSINGS FROM THE EMIR OF KATSINA

The State Commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Katsina State Command, Commandant of Corps
Aminu Datti Ahmad has received royal blessings from His Royal Highness the Emir of Katsina Alh (Dr.) Abdulmumini Kabir Usman today at his Palace Kofar Soro Katsina, Katsina State.

The Commandant who was on a courtesy call to the Emir’s Palace said though he was at home, he was there to officially introduce himself as the substantive Commandant of NSCDC in the State.

He stated that the visit was meant to pay homage, seek for guidance, receive royal blessings and support from His Highness in order to succeed in his office.

Commandant Ahmad conveyed the warm greetings of the Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi to His Highness and emphasized on CG’s vision to tackle the insecurity in the country.

Ahmad noted the role of the traditional institutions especially in the maintenance of law and order in the society.
He said that it became necessary to promote the existing relationship in order to achieve safety and security in the State.

The Commandant thanked the Emir for the warm reception accorded to him and his team during the visit and all the support and cooperation by the Emirate to the Corps.He further pledged to collaborate and synergize with the Emirate to fulfil the Corps mandate in the State.

The State Commandant also pledged his commitments and dedication to reposition the Corps in the State for better performance.He said the Command will always be happy to receive advice, guide and suggestions from the Royal Father and members of the traditional councils in order to help the Corps serve the people better.

Responding, His Royal Highness the Emir of Katsina said he was happy to receive the State Commandant and was impressed with his remarks.

The Emir emphasized the relevance of safety and security in the State and the country as a whole.He enjoined the Commandant and his team to prioritize proactive intelligence and secrecy in the service as steps towards safety and security.

The Royal Father also urged the Commandant to embrace the principles of justice, fairness, integrity, discipline, patriotism and God fearing in discharging his responsibilities.

In conclusion, the Emir indicated the need for Collaboration and engagement among all the security agencies.He further stated that the Emirate is together with all the Security agencies including the non formal security actors.
His Royal Highness also prayed for the success of the Commandant and wished him God guidance and blessings.

In another development, the State Commandant visited the State Controller of the Nigeria Immigration Service,CIS Mohammed Adamu Mahmoud at the State Headquarters Katsina, Katsina State.

In his address, the State Commandant stated that he was at the office for familiazation and continuous cooperation Collaboration and synergy.He reiterated the commitments of NSCDC in the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructures in the State and collaboration with NIS to address all forms of trans-boarder crimes.

In his response , the State Controller, welcome the Commandant and assured the NIS cooperation, Collaboration and synergy with NSCDC in the State.

“We are more than sister agencies, we are brothers and sisters and must work together for the overall security of our nation “the controller reiterated.
