Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has been conferred with the People’s Security Monitor’s reputable award for the 2024 ‘Most Outstanding Chief of Defence Staff in Security Management’

Speaking at the colourful event, Chief Executive Officer/Editor-in-Chief of People’s Security Monitor, Isiaka Mustapha, who led his editorial board members to the impressive ceremony at the Nigeria’s military Defence headquarters, Abuja extolled the sterling attributes of General Musa, whom he described as a patriotic and committed Nigerian who gives all it takes to provide the much-needed security for Nigeria and Nigerians.

” Under General Musa’s leadership, the Nigerian Armed Forces have implemented a series of operational strategies that have intensified efforts against insurgents. One such example is the reinforcement and strengthening of “Operation Hadin Kai, which was launched to replace the previous “Operation Lafiya Dole.” This operation represents a shift in tactics, focusing on a doctrine that moves away from purely defensive posturing to more offensive operations aimed at decisively defeating the insurgents.

”In a country marred by asymmetrical warfare, General Musa, an advocate for the modernization of the military, has consistently championed the enhancement of Nigeria’s military capabilities. These efforts include the procurement of modern armaments, fortifying aerial surveillance units, and enhancing cyber warfare capabilities necessary for a modern military. People’s Security Monitor’s editor-in-chief, Isiaka Mustapha, noted the outstanding performance of General Musa.

According to Mustapha, all the above impressive qualities explain why General Christopher Gwabin Musa deserves to be honored with the prestigious award of People’s Security Monitor 2024 ‘Most Outstanding Chief Of Defence Staff In Security Management.
In his remarks, shortly after being presented with the award, General Musa emphasised the strong desire of the Nigerian military to rid the nation of all forms of insecurity and threats to national security.

” Let me say once again that we are ever committed to the well-being of Nigeria and Nigerians. Our resolution for the attainment of full-fledged security for Nigeria is non-negotiable. We are excited to report a significant decline in insecurity under the nation’s Commander-in-Chief, His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

”This prestigious award has further propelled us into a deeper commitment to service. We sincerely appreciate the Nigerian media and all Nigerians for their supportive roles and encouragement. We seek a more valid and result-oriented partnership with all Nigerians to achieve and sustain national security.” said General Musa
