The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Commands of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have reassured residents of adequate security as both organizations strengthen ties ahead of the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
The two agencies affirmed their commitment to protecting lives and property in the capital city during a courtesy visit by the FCT Commissioner of Police (CP), Olatunji Disu, to the FCT NSCDC Command headquarters, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.
The FCT NSCDC Commandant, Dr. Olusola Odumosu, while receiving the CP, stated that the visit would further enhance the existing synergy between both organizations.
He added that it would also foster improved service delivery and the protection of residents, as well as all Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI) in the FCT, according to a statement by the Acting Public Relations Officer of the FCT Command of the NSCDC, Monica Ojobi, on Thursday in Abuja.
“Collaboration is crucial to achieving shared goals in maintaining peace and security, as no single organization has a monopoly on strategies for security management.
“We need each other because unity and teamwork are essential in effectively tackling the security challenges in the FCT and the country at large,” Odumosu said.
