Ekiti NSCDC Commandant Visits Police Commissioner, Calls for Stronger Security Synergy

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ekiti State Command, Commandant Sotiyo Igbalawole Emmanuel, has called for stronger collaboration and synergy among security agencies in the state to enhance the protection of lives and property.Commandant Igbalawole made the call during a courtesy visit to the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, CP Michael Falade, at the Police Headquarters on Old Iyin Road, Ado Ekiti.He said the visit was aimed at deepening the existing relationship between the NSCDC and the Nigeria Police Force, while promoting greater cooperation in the discharge of their respective security responsibilities.The NSCDC Commandant emphasised the importance of harmonious working relationships among security agencies, particularly through the timely sharing of relevant intelligence and information capable of preventing crime and addressing emerging security threats.He noted that effective inter agency cooperation remained essential to maintaining peace and security across the state, urging all security formations to sustain mutual support and coordinated operations.Responding, CP Falade expressed appreciation for the visit and stressed the need for security agencies in Ekiti State to further strengthen their partnership, especially in the area of sharing actionable intelligence.The Commissioner said closer cooperation among the agencies would enhance their collective capacity to prevent crime, respond effectively to security challenges and safeguard residents across the state.The visit ended with the presentation of a commemorative plaque by Commandant Igbalawole to the Commissioner of Police as a symbol of continued partnership and institutional cooperation between the two agencies.
