The National Chairman and Commander General of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN), Otunba James Udoma, has officially inaugurated the VGN Brigade Band as part of efforts to strengthen the organisation’s ceremonial traditions, cultural heritage and public engagement activities nationwide.The inauguration of the Brigade Band marks another significant step in the ongoing repositioning of the VGN under the leadership of Otunba Udoma, aimed at enhancing the organisation’s visibility, discipline and institutional identity across the country.As part of the development, CGS Soji has been appointed to lead the newly established Brigade Band Unit. His appointment is expected to provide strategic direction and professional coordination for the band as it undertakes ceremonial and public functions on behalf of the organisation.Speaking on the initiative, the VGN leadership said the Brigade Band would play a vital role in promoting unity, esprit de corps and organisational pride among members, while also serving as a symbol of the group’s commitment to discipline and excellence.The leadership noted that the creation of the band aligns with broader efforts to strengthen the organisation’s structure and improve its participation in national events, parades, public ceremonies and community engagements across the federation.According to the organisation, the Brigade Band will also contribute to projecting a positive image of the VGN by showcasing its values of patriotism, service and professionalism whenever it performs at official functions and public gatherings.The leadership and entire membership of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria congratulated CGS Soji on his appointment and expressed confidence in his ability to successfully lead the unit. They also wished members of the Brigade Band success as they undertake their responsibilities and represent the organisation with dedication, professionalism and excellence.The VGN further reaffirmed its commitment to institutional development and capacity building, stressing that initiatives such as the Brigade Band would continue to strengthen the organisation’s role in supporting community safety, national unity and grassroots security efforts across Nigeria.
