The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has approved the deployment of Commissioners of Police to various state commands and strategic formations across the country following the endorsement of his recommendations by the Police Service Commission.

The redeployment is aimed at strengthening operational efficiency, enhancing leadership capacity across commands and formations, and consolidating ongoing reforms within the Nigeria Police Force.

According to a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Ani Iniedu, the newly posted Commissioners of Police to state commands include CP Afolabi Wilfred Olutokunbo to Abia State, CP Ayodeji Faniyan to Plateau State, CP Saka Adewale Ajao to Bayelsa State, CP Ajo Geoffrey Ordue to Cross River State, CP Nanna Oji Ama to Anambra State, CP Patrick Daaor to Edo State, CP Tani Murtala to Jigawa State, and CP Samuel Erale to Delta State.

The statement also announced several deployments to strategic departments and formations within the Force. CP Yemi John Oyeniyi has been posted to Intelligence and Training at the Force Intelligence Department (FID), Abuja, while CP Charles Ezekwesiri Dike takes charge of INTERPOL at the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Abuja.

Other postings include CP Aina Adesola to the Department of Finance and Administration (DFA) at the Department of Training and Development (DTD), Force Headquarters, Abuja; CP Uduak Ita Otu to the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of the FCID Annex, Alagbon, Lagos; and CP Abdullateef Ajape Yusuf to the General Investigation Section of the FCID, Abuja.

Similarly, CP Taiwo A. Adedeji has been deployed to the Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU) at Force Headquarters, Abuja, while CP Ajayi Oluyemi assumes duty at the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of the FCID, Abuja.

The deployment list further includes CP Bolanle Aremu to the Department of Finance and Administration at Force Headquarters, Abuja; CP Ibrahim Lukunche Usman to the Inspectorate Department of Training and Development, Force Headquarters; and CP Mohammed Hassan Ahmed as Deputy Commandant of the Police Staff College, Jos.

Others are CP Rita Oyintare Oki to the Department of Finance and Administration, Force Headquarters Annex, Lagos; CP Ibrahim Umar D. Zungura to the Administration Department of the FCID Annex, Kaduna; CP Nelson Nwamana to Training and Courses at the Police Academy, Kano; and CP Akingbade C. Adeyinka to the Administration Department of the Force Intelligence Department, Abuja.

The postings also saw CP Iya Umar Mohammed assigned to the Training Department of the Department of Training and Development at Force Headquarters, Abuja; CP Darma Nuhu Na’aliyu to the Anti-Fraud Section of the FCID Annex, Kaduna; CP Mohammed Yakubu to the Welfare Department under the DFA at Force Headquarters, Abuja; and CP Danbaba Mohammed Labbo to the Administration Department of the FCID Annex, Gombe.

The Inspector-General of Police charged the affected officers to deploy their vast experience and expertise toward improving intelligence-led policing, enhancing operational performance, promoting professionalism, and strengthening community engagement in line with the vision and strategic objectives of the Nigeria Police Force.

He expressed confidence that the new postings would further improve service delivery, reinforce internal security operations, and deepen public trust in the Force across the country.
