Protest Day 2: Delta NSCDC Boss, Commandant Jimoh Agboola Advises Residents Not Panic, As Delta Is Relatively Calm

As the nationwide protest continued on its second day, the Delta State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Jimoh Abgoola has enjoined residents to maintain peace as they go about their lawful engagements.

Security personnel were deployed to maintain order and prevent violence and destruction of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI), which since Day 1 none of such destruction was reported in the State as commercial activities went on unhindered.

Since protest didn’t take place in all 25 LGA’s, NSCDC Personnel continued their routine patrols and escort of the protesters to avert hijack in the few LGA’s procession took place.

The State NSCDC Boss who prior to the commencement of the nationwide protest, had a press release where unveiled the various strategic deployments to identified flashpoints, Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI), etc in the State in anticipation of a peaceful protest.

He further reiterated the need for residents to be security conscious and report any suspicious person or activity within their vicinity to the nearest NSCDC Command/Security agent.

The atmosphere in the state is calm, people are going about their business activities.
