NSCDC Commandant, Security Chiefs Receive Vice President Shettima in Nasarawa for Investment Summit

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, Commandant Brah Samson Umoru, on Wednesday joined other heads of security agencies in the state to receive the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Kashim Shettima, GCON, at the Lafia Airport ahead of the Nasarawa Investment Summit.

Vice President Shettima, who arrived to a warm reception, is representing the Federal Government at the high profile summit designed to attract investors and showcase the economic potential of Nasarawa State.

Speaking during the reception, Commandant Brah assured residents and participants of adequate security arrangements throughout the summit. He noted that the NSCDC, in collaboration with other security agencies, has put in place comprehensive security measures to ensure the safety of the Vice President, government officials, investors, dignitaries, and other attendees.

He further stated that strategic deployment of personnel and operational assets had been activated across critical locations in the state to guarantee a peaceful and hitch free event.

The NSCDC Commandant reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to working closely with sister security agencies to maintain law and order before, during, and after the summit.

The Nasarawa Investment Summit, themed “Bold Transitions: Building a Legacy for a Sustainable Future,” is expected to attract major stakeholders from the public and private sectors, with discussions focused on investment opportunities, strategic partnerships, and sustainable economic growth in the state.
