The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Lagos State Command, deployed a large number of operatives to various venues during the presidential commissioning of major projects held on Wednesday, April 8, and Thursday, April 9, 2026, across Lagos State.
The deployment was aimed at ensuring the safety of lives and property before, during, and after the events. The commissioning activities were organised by the Lagos State Government under the leadership of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
NSCDC personnel worked closely with the Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies to maintain law and order throughout the duration of the events. Their coordinated efforts ensured a peaceful and hitch-free exercise across all locations.
Operatives of the Command were strategically positioned at key project sites, including the Ojota–Opebi Link Bridge, Lagos State Geographic Information Service (LAGIS) Centre, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (ABAT) E-GIS Data Centre (ABAT III), Multi-Agency Building at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Administrative Complex, Tolu Schools Complex, as well as the unveiling and presentation of a visual documentary book on Governor Sanwo-Olu.
The Lagos State Commandant of the NSCDC, Mr Adedotun Keshinro, ensured thorough planning and execution of the security operations. Personnel were adequately briefed and tasked to apply their professionalism, experience, and tactical expertise to guarantee a smooth and incident-free exercise.
He also congratulated Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and his cabinet on their achievements, particularly their strong commitment to infrastructural development and the ongoing transformation of Lagos State.
