NSCDC Kwara Command Strengthens Strategic Ties As Bodinga Hosts NURTW BoT Chairman


Earlier today, the Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Bala Bawa Bodinga, FCISM, FICGPA, received Najeem Usman Yasin, former President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) and current Chairman of its Board of Trustees, on a high-level courtesy visit.
The visit underscored the importance of strengthening strategic relationships and fostering institutional collaboration between the NSCDC and key stakeholders in the transport sector, particularly in enhancing security coordination and public safety across Kwara State.
During the meeting, both parties engaged in productive discussions on improving intelligence sharing, promoting lawful conduct among transport operators, and supporting government efforts to maintain peace and order within the state. The Commandant emphasised the critical role of the NURTW in ensuring compliance with regulations and aiding security agencies with timely information.
In his remarks, Yasin commended the NSCDC for its sustained efforts in protecting critical national assets and infrastructure, while reaffirming the union’s commitment to working closely with the Corps to strengthen security at motor parks and along major transit routes.
