Tinubu Vows to Crush Insecurity, Strengthen National Prosperity

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed his administration’s determination to tackle insecurity and propel Nigeria toward long-term prosperity, asserting that the nation will overcome banditry, terrorism, and other security challenges. Speaking at the commissioning of the Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport in Ogun State, he emphasized that Nigeria remains steadfast on the path to greatness despite persistent threats.
The President, who recently visited Jos to meet victims of a deadly attack, stressed that restoring stability and security across the country remains a top priority, alongside sustained investments in infrastructure and human capital. He highlighted that ongoing reforms, combined with youth-focused initiatives, are laying the groundwork for economic growth and stronger national security.
President Tinubu also praised Governor Dapo Abiodun for prioritizing infrastructure and development, describing the new airport as a strategic hub for trade, logistics, and regional connectivity, with the potential to attract investments and stimulate economic expansion.
He further emphasized the importance of community engagement in security efforts, urging citizens to collaborate with law enforcement agencies to ensure safer neighborhoods. “Security is a collective responsibility,” he said, “and every Nigerian has a role to play in safeguarding lives and property.”
The President also announced plans to strengthen intelligence gathering and modernize security agencies, ensuring they are better equipped to respond to emerging threats. He reaffirmed that coordinated efforts between federal and state authorities will remain central to curbing violence and promoting lasting peace across the nation.
