LSSTF Trains NSCDC, Other Security Agencies, Strengthens Inter-Agency Collaboration in Lagos

The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has organised a statewide training programme for security operatives, in a move widely regarded as a strategic step toward strengthening collaboration among security agencies in Lagos State. The initiative underscores a renewed commitment to enhancing synergy and operational effectiveness across agencies.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Secretary of LSSTF, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, described the two-day capacity-building programme, scheduled for Wednesday, 25th and Thursday, 26th March 2026, as a valuable platform to appreciate the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, for his unwavering support to the Fund and security agencies in the state.
Dr. Ogunsan noted that the training is designed to build human capacity, foster mutual trust, and improve operational efficiency among personnel drawn from various security agencies. He added that the initiative aims to better equip participants with the skills required to enhance safety and security across the state.
He further disclosed that the training would continue in batches over the next ten months, urging participants to take full advantage of the opportunity to drive meaningful improvements in security operations.
The Lagos State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Mr. Adedotun Keshinro, commended the Governor and the LSSTF leadership for initiating the programme, describing it as a forward-thinking effort to enhance the capacity of security operatives in the state.
Keshinro emphasised that joint training programmes of this nature would equip personnel with the necessary knowledge and professional competence to effectively discharge their duties, while also reducing inter-agency rivalry and fostering cooperation.
He also appreciated the Service Commanders of the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Immigration Service, Federal Road Safety Corps, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps, as well as other participating agencies and the media, for their continued support to the Corps since his assumption of office.
