The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nasarawa State Command, has received a major operational boost following the commissioning of the renovated Iya I & II Divisional Office and the handover of a brand-new patrol vehicle by the Executive Chairman of Keffi Local Government Area, Idris Ahmad Damagani.
The commissioning ceremony in Keffi highlights the growing collaboration between local government authorities and security agencies to strengthen grassroots safety and ensure effective protection of residents and assets.
Addressing attendees, Idris Ahmad Damagani reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting security agencies through provision of logistics and infrastructure. He emphasized that the renovated office and new patrol vehicle are intended to enhance NSCDC’s operational efficiency in tackling crime and safeguarding critical national assets in the area.
Receiving the facility and vehicle on behalf of the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Brah Samson Umoru expressed sincere gratitude to the Keffi LGA Chairman, describing the contribution as timely and impactful. He noted that the upgrades would significantly improve the morale and performance of officers and men serving in the division.
Commandant Brah Samson Umoru assured that the renovated office and patrol vehicle would be fully utilised to strengthen surveillance, rapid response, and overall security coverage in Keffi and surrounding communities. He also reaffirmed the Corps’ unwavering dedication to protecting lives, property, and critical national infrastructure throughout Nasarawa State.
The Commandant encouraged other stakeholders and well-meaning individuals to emulate the Chairman’s example, stressing that security is a collective responsibility requiring ongoing collaboration between government, agencies, and the community.
