The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has paid an operational visit to Kaiama following recent security challenges in the community. The visit was aimed at reassuring residents of the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to restoring peace and strengthening security in the area.
Kaiama and its surrounding communities have recently experienced attacks by armed criminals, raising concerns among residents. The Inspector-General’s visit formed part of ongoing efforts by the police leadership to assess the situation on the ground and support officers deployed to maintain law and order.
During the visit, the police chief expressed solidarity with members of the community who have been affected by the attacks. He assured them that the police would intensify operations and deploy necessary resources to ensure that normalcy is fully restored.
The IGP also commended officers and men of the Kwara State Police Command for their bravery and dedication in confronting criminal elements and protecting lives and property despite the challenges.
He urged the officers to remain steadfast and professional in the discharge of their duties, noting that the leadership of the force would continue to support operational strategies aimed at strengthening security and ensuring lasting peace in the affected communities.
