The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Ahmed Abubakar Audi, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of a female officer who was involved in an accident during a simulation exercise at the Corps’ National Headquarters in Abuja.

The Commandant General has directed a high-powered delegation from the National Headquarters to pay a condolence visit to the bereaved family. He assured that the late officer would be accorded befitting burial rites and that all her entitlements and benefits would be processed and paid to her family without delay.
While urging personnel not to be discouraged by the unfortunate incident, the CG called on officers and men of the Corps to remain steadfast in the discharge of their duties and to continue to uphold the values of the Service.
He further stressed that stricter adherence to safety standards and proper coordination during operational exercises is essential, noting that adequate precautions could help prevent similar incidents in the future.
