Sokoto NSCDC Command Congratulates CG Audi on Reappointment


The Sokoto State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has congratulated the Commandant-General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, PhD, mni, OFR, on his well-deserved reappointment as the Commandant-General of the Corps.
In a press release issued on Sunday, March 1, 2026, by the Office of the Public Relations Officer, the Command described the reappointment as a significant milestone in the history of the NSCDC. It stated that the renewal of his tenure represents a strong affirmation of his exemplary leadership, strategic foresight, and unwavering commitment to the transformation and growth of the Corps across all operational spheres.
The statement noted that under Professor Audi’s purposeful and result-oriented leadership, the NSCDC has recorded remarkable achievements in disaster mitigation, operational effectiveness, and the protection of agro-allied investments. It further highlighted improvements in intelligence-led security operations, protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, personnel capacity development, and enhanced inter-agency collaboration nationwide.
According to the Command, the Commandant-General’s dedication to discipline, professionalism, transparency, and personnel welfare has significantly strengthened institutional integrity and promoted pragmatic decision-making across Commands in the federation.
The Sokoto State Command also observed that his reappointment ensures continuity in reforms and consolidates the progress made in repositioning the Corps as a key player in Nigeria’s internal security framework. It expressed confidence that his second tenure would usher in further innovation, stability, and operational excellence.
Reaffirming its loyalty, the Command pledged its unwavering commitment to the realization of the Commandant-General’s vision of building a more resilient, proactive, and people-oriented Corps through empirical and pragmatic approaches.
It assured him of continued support in consolidating existing gains and advancing the statutory mandate of the NSCDC in safeguarding lives and property. The Command prayed for Almighty God to grant him strength, sound health, wisdom, and courage to lead the Corps to greater heights in the interest of unity, equity, and service to humanity.
