Kwara NSCDC Command Applauds President Tinubu Over Renewal of CG Audi’s Tenure


The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has congratulated the Commandant-General, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, on the renewal of his appointment for a second five-year term. The renewal was approved by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and took effect from February 27, 2026.
In a statement issued on behalf of officers and men of the Command, the Kwara State Commandant, CC Bala Bawa Bodinga, described the reappointment as a clear recognition of Professor Audi’s visionary leadership, administrative competence, and transformational impact on the Corps over the past five years.
He noted that under the Commandant-General’s leadership, the NSCDC has recorded significant institutional reforms. These include strengthened protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure, intensified action against economic sabotage, improved regulation of Private Guard Companies, and enhanced intelligence-driven operations across the country.
Commandant Bodinga further stated that the renewal of Professor Audi’s tenure represents continuity in strategic direction, stability in command structure, and sustained efforts to modernize the Corps in response to evolving security challenges nationwide.
“Professor Audi’s leadership has repositioned the Corps as a key pillar in Nigeria’s internal security architecture. His renewed mandate is a reflection of the confidence he has earned through performance, discipline, and unwavering commitment to national service,” Bodinga said.
He reaffirmed the loyalty and total commitment of officers and men of the Kwara State Command to the Commandant-General’s reform agenda, pledging continued professionalism and dedication in the discharge of their constitutional responsibilities.
The Kwara State Command joined other Commands across the federation in celebrating the Commandant-General on what it described as a well-deserved milestone, expressing confidence that his second tenure will consolidate existing achievements and take the Corps to greater heights.
