The Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, FCISM, FiCGPA, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim Ummah on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan.
In his message, the Commandant described Ramadan as a sacred period of spiritual renewal, self discipline, sacrifice and devotion to Almighty Allah. He noted that the holy month promotes the virtues of patience, compassion, tolerance and peaceful coexistence, values that are fundamental to nation building and social harmony.
Commandant Bodinga urged Muslim faithful to use the solemn period to offer prayers for enduring peace, unity and sustainable development in Kwara State and Nigeria at large. He emphasised the need for collective responsibility in fostering stability and mutual understanding within communities.
The Commandant also reassured residents of Kwara State of the Command’s unwavering commitment to the protection of lives, property and critical national assets before, during and after the Ramadan fasting period. He affirmed that the Corps will continue to work closely with other security agencies and stakeholders to maintain peace and public safety across the state.
