FFS Kaduna Holds Annual Performance Conference to Strengthen Accountability and Service Delivery

In line with the strategic directives of the Controller General to reinforce institutional frameworks nationwide, the Federal Fire Service Kaduna Command today successfully hosted its Annual Performance Management Service Conference.
The conference, presided over by the State Controller, DCF Ayuba Jonah Sule, with the distinguished presence of Zonal Controller ACGF A. G. Karaye, provided a vital platform to assess operational efficiency, strengthen accountability, and improve service delivery across all departments of the Command.
During the session, Heads of Departments including Administration, Operations, Intelligence, Investigation and Enforcement, Public Relations, Zonal Affairs, and the Provost Unit presented detailed scorecards outlining achievements, operational challenges, and strategic requirements. Deliberations focused on the need for improved logistics and specialised firefighting equipment, deployment of modern digital administrative tools, reliable power supply to enhance record keeping, and strict adherence to discipline and chain of command in order to uphold paramilitary standards.
Officers further stressed the importance of introducing individual performance scorecards and implementing quarterly performance reviews to ensure continuous monitoring, proactive problem solving, and measurable progress across the Command. The discussions reinforced teamwork, professionalism, and dedication to duty as essential pillars of effective emergency response.
In his closing remarks, the State Controller reaffirmed a zero tolerance policy on indiscipline and absenteeism, directing strict compliance with duty schedules and operational procedures. He urged officers to remain committed to excellence, integrity, and operational readiness in safeguarding lives and property.
The Federal Fire Service remains resolute in its mandate to protect communities through enhanced training, strengthened accountability, and improved professional service delivery across Kaduna State and beyond.
