The Controller-General of the Federal Fire Service (FFS), CGF Olumode Samuel Adeyemi, paid an official visit to Kano State as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen operational efficiency, enhance personnel engagement, and improve fire safety coordination across the Command. The visit was also connected to the recent fire incident at Singa Market.
The CGF arrived at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport before proceeding to the Federal Secretariat, the operational headquarters of the Federal Fire Service, Kano Command.
On arrival at the Command headquarters, he was received with a colourful Guard of Honour parade, which he inspected as part of the formal reception ceremony.
Addressing officers and personnel of the Kano Command during an interactive session, the CGF expressed appreciation for the warm reception and commended their professionalism and discipline. He praised firefighters for their resilience, dedication, and sacrifice in responding to emergencies, protecting lives and property, and sustaining fire prevention activities across the state.
He urged officers to adopt innovative approaches and proactive strategies aimed at improving service delivery and operational effectiveness, assuring them that his administration remains open to constructive ideas that will move the Service forward.
The visit underscores the Federal Fire Service’s unwavering commitment to enhanced preparedness, improved personnel welfare, and the strengthening of fire safety infrastructure nationwide.
