JIGAWA STATE COMMANDANT RECEIVES NEWLY POSTED NYSC STATE COORDINATOR

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Jigawa State Command, has received the newly posted National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) State Coordinator Alh. Muhammad Baba in Jigawa State during a courtesy visit to the State Command Headquarters.

The State Commandant, CC Muhammad Kabiru Ingawa, warmly welcomed the NYSC State Coordinator to the Command and congratulated him on the new posting to Jigawa State. He emphasized the long-standing cordial relationship between the NSCDC and the NYSC, particularly in the areas of camp security, protection of corps members, and safeguarding critical national, state, and local government assets.

Commandant Ingawa assured the Coordinator of the Command’s unwavering commitment to providing adequate security before, during, and after the orientation exercise, as well as throughout the service year of corps members deployed across the State. He noted that the safety of corps members remains a top priority, especially those serving in rural and hard-to-reach communities.

The Commandant further reiterated the Corps’ readiness to strengthen inter-agency collaboration, intelligence sharing, and proactive security measures to ensure a peaceful and conducive environment for corps members to discharge their national duties effectively.

In his remarks, the NYSC State Coordinator expressed appreciation for the warm reception and acknowledged the critical role played by the NSCDC in maintaining security at orientation camps and corps lodges across the State. The Coordinator pledged continuous cooperation with the Command to enhance the welfare and safety of corps members.

The visit marks another milestone in reinforcing synergy between the NSCDC and the NYSC towards promoting national unity, security, and development in Jigawa State.
