Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI have eliminated scores of terrorists and dismantled several hideouts during a series of high-stakes dawn engagements across the region. In a meticulously planned night operation on January 28, 2026, forces from Sector 1 launched a surprise assault on a major terrorist enclave at Bula Dalo. The intensive firefight resulted in the neutralization of more than 12 insurgents, while the remaining fighters fled into the surrounding wilderness in disarray. Following the encounter, the military successfully recovered a significant cache of weaponry, including four AK-47 rifles, a PKT anti-aircraft gun, a Rocket Propelled Gun, and a multiple grenade launcher.
Building on this momentum, the troops conducted a separate, deliberate raid on the Garno terrorist camp. During this offensive, six additional terrorists were neutralized, and their essential life-support structures were completely destroyed. Soldiers also seized a large quantity of PKT anti-aircraft ammunition along with other logistical items, further degrading the insurgents’ operational capacity in the sector.
In a related and more complex encounter on January 29, 2026, troops of Sector 2 stationed at Sabon Gari repelled a sophisticated early-morning attack by ISWAP militants. The insurgents utilized multiple armed drones to coordinate their strike, briefly breaching a section of the defensive perimeter. However, the gallant troops swiftly reorganized, held their positions, and restored full control of the location with the help of timely reinforcements from nearby bases.
The defense of Sabon Gari came at a heavy cost, as several courageous soldiers and members of the Civilian Joint Task Force paid the supreme price. The drone strikes also resulted in damage to an excavator and a lowbed vehicle. Despite these losses, the military remains in firm control, and exploitation of the area continues to prevent any further freedom of action for the terrorists. The Military High Command has praised the resilience of the troops and instructed all units to remain vigilant and aggressive in their pursuit of lasting peace in the North East.
