NSCDC Nasarawa Commandant Honoured with Leadership and Security Management Award


The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nasarawa State Command, Commandant Brah Samson Umoru, has been honoured with the Exemplary Leadership and Outstanding Security Management Award by People Security Monitor.
The award was presented in recognition of his exceptional leadership, strategic security initiatives, and sustained commitment to the protection of lives and critical national assets across Nasarawa State. Since assuming office, the command under his leadership has recorded significant improvements in professionalism, operational efficiency, community engagement, and public confidence in the NSCDC.
Presenting the award, the Chief Executive Officer of People Security Monitor, Mr. Isiaka Mustapha, commended Commandant Umoru for redefining security management through proactive strategies, intelligence driven operations, and effective inter agency collaboration. He noted that these efforts have contributed to improved peace and stability in the state.
In his acceptance remarks, Commandant Brah Samson Umoru dedicated the award to the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, citing his visionary leadership and institutional support. He also praised the officers and men of the Nasarawa State Command for their dedication, discipline, and teamwork.
The Commandant reaffirmed his commitment to professionalism, community focused security operations, and the protection of critical infrastructure in line with the statutory mandate of the Corps.
The recognition further highlights Commandant Umoru’s growing profile as a results oriented security administrator and a transformative leader within the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
