Commandant Bala Bawa Bodinga, the Commandant of the National Arms Special Force of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, at the National Headquarters in Abuja, has emerged as one of the Corps’ most effective and dependable operational leaders. At a time when Nigeria is confronted with complex and evolving security threats, his leadership has brought renewed focus, structure, and operational discipline to one of the most sensitive units within the NSCDC.
The National Arms Special Force occupies a strategic position in Nigeria’s internal security architecture. It is mandated to address the challenges posed by the proliferation of small arms and light weapons, which continue to fuel banditry, insurgency, kidnapping, and communal unrest across the country.
