The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Gombe State Command, has decorated 85 newly promoted officers, including Chief Superintendent of Corps, CSC Buhari Saad, in a ceremony that highlighted professionalism, dedication, and renewed commitment to service.
The State Commandant, Commandant Jibrin Idris, gave the charge during a management meeting which was followed by the symbolic decoration of officers promoted in the 2025 promotion exercise. The ceremony took place at the NSCDC Gombe State Command Conference Hall and was attended by senior officers of the Command.
The promotion exercise covered 53 senior officers and 32 junior officers, all of whom were decorated in an atmosphere of pride, reflection, and celebration of career advancement.
Addressing the officers, Commandant Idris congratulated them on their elevation and reminded them that higher ranks come with greater responsibility and accountability. He charged the newly promoted officers to recommit themselves to discipline, integrity, selfless service, and exemplary leadership, noting that these values remain fundamental to the operations of the Corps.
The State Commandant further urged the officers to embrace modern law enforcement practices, strengthen community engagement, and enhance collaboration with other security agencies to ensure the safety and security of lives and property across Gombe State. He emphasized that professionalism and inter-agency cooperation are critical to effectively responding to emerging security challenges.
Speaking on behalf of the promoted officers, Assistant Commandant of Corps, ACC Kizito, thanked God Almighty for their elevation and expressed appreciation to the Commandant General of the NSCDC for recognizing their contributions and finding them worthy of promotion. He assured the leadership that the officers would continue to uphold the values, discipline, and standards of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps with renewed dedication and commitment.
The decoration ceremony marked a significant milestone for the beneficiaries and reaffirmed the NSCDC Gombe State Command’s commitment to effective security service delivery and community safety.
