Defence Ministry, NSCDC Move to Deepen Collaboration on National Security


The Ministry of Defence has reiterated its commitment to strengthening collaboration with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to enhance national security and improve coordinated responses to emerging threats across the country.
This followed a high-level meeting between the Minister of Defence and the Commandant General of the NSCDC, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, held at the Ministry of Defence Headquarters, Ship House, Abuja.
During the meeting, both parties explored practical and innovative strategies aimed at deepening institutional synergy between the ministry and the NSCDC, with particular emphasis on strengthening defensive capabilities and reinforcing national security architecture.
Discussions also focused on improving operational effectiveness through better coordination, information sharing and joint engagement in tackling various forms of insecurity confronting the nation.
The meeting underscored a shared commitment by both institutions to intensify collective efforts in safeguarding lives and property, while ensuring a more responsive and resilient security framework for Nigeria.
