Police Rescue Four Abducted Children, Reunite Them with Families in Nasarawa


The Nasarawa State Police Command has successfully rescued four abducted children following a discreet, intelligence-led operation.
The incident came to light on 31st December 2025, when a report was lodged at New Nyanya Division, Karu Local Government Area, regarding the sudden disappearance of the children under suspicious circumstances. Upon receiving the report, the Command immediately launched a thorough investigation guided by credible intelligence.
Acting on the intelligence, detectives from the Nasarawa State Police Command, in collaboration with operatives of the FCT Police Command, located the suspects’ hideout. The children were recovered safely and unharmed.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the children were allegedly abducted by Abraham Asoje, 28, and Joy Bolaje, 29, both residents of Ado Junction, Karu LGA, Nasarawa State. The suspects reportedly kept the children in confinement before police intervention.
The rescued children have since been reunited with their families, while efforts continue to apprehend other suspects believed to be connected to the crime.
The Commissioner of Police, Nasarawa State Command, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, psc, mnips, commended the professionalism, dedication, and swift response of the operatives involved. He reassured residents of the Command’s unwavering commitment to protecting lives and property, particularly the safety of children and other vulnerable members of society, and urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant.
